Google Reviews: Google+ No Longer Required

Good News for Google Reviews

The largest deterrent for satisfied clients leaving positive Google Reviews is the sign in process. Many average consumers don’t have Google+ accounts and the process of signing up for one is not worth the time to praise good work. On the other hand, a person motivated by a bad experience will find the willpower to spend the time to setup an account and leave that bad review for the world to see.

It’s a common problem for many companies. While cleaning up the customer service experience is the first place to look if you need better online reviews, more needed to be done to make it easier for the average person to leave a positive review.

The less friction to leave a review, the more likely a business is to receive one.

I’m happy to report that Google has just made it a bit easier for positive reviews to happen by dropping the requirement for a Google+ account. As long as you have a Google account (who doesn’t?) and are signed in, you can leave a review for a business.

Google Reviews no longer need a Google+ acount

Hopefully, this means more people leaving positive reviews for the businesses that treat them well.
