Happy Hour With Snap Forward – June 23rd, 2016

This week we admit we are still very green in the live video department and make some key adjustments to improve our shoot.

Other topics include:

Meatball Sundae – Align Your Marketing!

Seth Godin’s book, Meatball Sundae, and the tendencies of some companies to jump on board with marketing trends without aligning their methods and failing to acknowledge the disconnect.

Facebook is Where Businesses Need to Be

If you want the attention of your target audience, go where their eyeballs already are – Facebook. Check out our Daily Tips on our Snap Marketing Facebook page for how to get started.

Brandy is On The Move!

Our web designer and marketing assistant, Brandy, was recognized in the Pittsburgh Business Times in the list of “People on the Move” in the Media category.

Provide Value and Respect Others’ Time

When it comes to professional work events It’s important to evaluate and gather information on what can be gained by the experience. Critical time can be easily lost when events are poorly planned and don’t offer much value to the attendees.

Ransomware

The ransom virus that has been in circulation for years is still evolving and scarier than ever. In fact, a client of ours recently experienced how quickly one’s business can be compromised. Watch our Keep IT real video on the subject for more detailed information about how to prevent and control the threat of these viruses.

iOS 10

iOS 10 has been announced. Our favorite new feature is Siri third party support. Siri can now post on social media and work inside of apps! Pretty cool stuff. But be aware, IOS 10 works much faster on newer Apple models.

If It’s Not Broke Don’t Fix It

In the case of Jeep’s somewhat confusing new gear shifting mechanism this concept was seemingly forgotten and has unfortunately caused several accidents and at least one fatality. We relate this back to the IT and digital marketing realm. If someone is familiar with or in the habit of doing something that is working it’s almost always better to leave it the way it is.

Best Butt?

How would you react to receiving a “best butt” award at work? This happened to a waitress at a sports bar recently and she was not pleased to say the least.

Beers of the Week:

Nick – Ballast Point Habanero Skulpin
Brandy – Yuengling Summer Wheat
