Good news – the Snap Forward team grows again and the Pens win the cup! We are happy to announce that we have acquired intern Callie Carver who will be focusing on video production and digital marketing. She will no doubt be a very valuable addition to our team and we are excited to welcome her. Also, the Pittsburgh Penguins have brought Stanley back to the burgh! We hope this means less late nights spent nervously watching playoff games and increased productivity at the office.

In tech news, Microsoft has purchased LinkedIn for a lofty sum. Let’s hope LinkedIn remains the same great networking tool that it is and continues to improve by adding features such as enhanced ad targeting. Speaking of ad targeting, the new Instagram (recently purchased by Facebook) includes a semi-curated feed plus ads. This wouldn’t be so bad but the poor ad targeting capabilities aren’t doing Instagram any favors.

Google has reported that top level domain names with custom url’s (for example PersonalInjury.attorney) do not have any effect on your search ranking. Say what?! We wonder if it makes sense to go with a top level domain name since it can be confusing to users.

When presented with a vegan cheesesteak challenge, Nick chooses to grab the faux beef by the horns. He stopped by Piper’s Pub recently to try out his first ever taste of vegan cuisine. He may not be going vegan anytime soon, but he reported that he enjoyed the cheesesteak and had he not known it was vegan he would have just thought it was a darn good sandwich.

And lastly, the digital marketing team at Snap Forward strongly encourages you to take advantage of Facebook advertising. We believe in taking the time to create quality ads that are compelling and targeted to the proper audience. Facebook is currently the prime location to get results from your ads and all signs point to that trend continuing to grow. So, in other words, jump in while the iron is still hot! If you aren’t sure where to start, contact us to talk more about specific ways social media advertising can benefit you.
